Lighting a light for someone is one of the oldest gestures we know. In A shared universe you do it with a star: you light it, write why, and other people see it shine and keep you company.
So that anyone can feel this is their place, whether they believe or not. There are no prayers or religious symbols here: just a universe of stars, your light and the company of those who look at it.
You can light it for what weighs on you, for what you hope for or for what you’re grateful for. And you can light it for yourself, for a loved one or for someone who is gone.
Other people will read your star and keep you company with a tap or with a few kind words, such as “There is light, even if you can’t see it now” or “Your story doesn’t end here”. You’ll see how many times you’ve been kept company and what people left you, but never who.
Your star shines for seven days. If you still need it, come back and keep it shining seven more days; or, if you prefer, put it out sooner.
