A shared universe › Blog › A place to get it off your chest without saying who you are · Español
Sometimes you just need to let it out and know someone has read it. In A shared universe you write what weighs on you, light a star, and others keep you company without knowing who you are.
Psychologist James Pennebaker’s studies on expressive writing found that putting our worries into words helps us make sense of them and carry them better. Here, someone also reads it and lets you know.
Stars aren’t answered with comments: only with a tap or with kind words from a list, such as “It makes sense that it hurts”, “That’s a lot to carry” or “You don’t have to go through it alone”. So nobody can hurt you with their reply.
No accounts, no names and no cookies. We don’t keep your IP address or anything that says who you are. Your star shines for seven days; if you come back, you can keep it shining seven more days. When it goes out, it is deleted completely, with everything people told it. You can put it out sooner whenever you like.
